A poker run Satuday morning will raise funds to send eight local veterans on an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C. to visit the nation's war memorials.
The poker run, that cost $15 and will begin at 10 a.m. at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force off U.S. 80 in Pooler, is being sponsored by the In-Country Vietnam Veterans Motorcycle Club to raise funds for Honor Flight-Savannah.
Honor Flight, a local non-profit, relies entirely on donations, said Carol Megathlin, a board member.
Registration for the poker run begins at 9 a.m.; the run will finish at the VFW Post 660 on Ogeechee Road.
